Easy and Delicious Pellet Grill Recipes
1. Smoked Shredded Beef Dip Sandwich
Let’s start things off with a bang, shall we? Nothing sates hunger better than a hearty beef roast sandwich. Tender shredded beef is slow-smoked in the wood grill and braised in au jus. It goes inside buttery hoagie rolls and topped generously with smoked gouda for good measure. It doesn’t end there, though. This ridiculously delicious sandwich gets dipped in savory au jus – because we’re crazy like that. I love how the au just saturates the bread just enough that it gets softer, but still crisp at the same time. Mmm.
2. Grilled Chicken Wings
Chicken wings are typically deep-fried or baked, but trust me, your trusty Traeger grill can whip up some good wings just as well. The chicken skins are crispy and crunchy as can be! Meanwhile, the meat is ridiculously tender and juicy. While only flavored with basic ingredients – olive oil, salt, and pepper – they’re still super-tasty. The simple flavor makes them the perfect candidate for dipping! You can go the classic route and dip the wings in buffalo sauce, blue cheese, or ranch, or, get more creative with Moroccan herb, soy-ginger, or wasabi mayo.
3. Traeger Turkey
Looking for unique ways to prepare turkey on Thanksgiving? Impress your family and friends with smoky Traeger turkey! Trust me, this turkey will be gobbled up in no time. Smoking eliminates the likelihood of getting a bland and dry turkey. With this recipe, every part is a party in your mouth. You can even try out various wood pellets to yield different flavors! You can’t go wrong with apple, hickory, oak, and pecan, though. You can stick to one, or use multiple pellets. Feel free to experiment!
4. Traeger Smoked Smashed Potatoes
First of all, how fun do these smashed potatoes look? Just by looking at them, you can already tell they’re delicious. Smashed potatoes are usually roasted in the oven, but I highly suggest you give smoking a chance. Using the Traeger grill adds a nice smoky accent to those already tasty spuds. And the texture is so crispy, so tender, and so amazing! For me, smashing baby potatoes is one of the most brilliant ideas the culinary world has ever seen.
5. Smoked Hard-Boiled Eggs
Today, in egg preparations you didn’t know existed: smoked hard-boiled eggs. If you can only try one new dish today, let it be this one. I can’t believe it took me this long to discover this recipe! But now that I have you, I’m never letting go. Sure, it’s so much simpler to just boil eggs, but smoking them isn’t that complicated, either. The flavor is significantly better, so it’s definitely worth the extra effort. And because smoked eggs get better with age, you can whip up a huge batch and refrigerate!
6. Smoked Ribs
We can’t have a list of Traeger recipes without ribs, now can we? Summer isn’t complete with the quintessential grilling meat! There are many smoked ribs recipes online, but this one yields the juiciest, fall-off-the-bone tender meat! The flavor doesn’t disappoint, either. The ribs are slathered with mustard, Traeger rub, maple syrup, and brown sugar. Together, they make such amazing complex flavors of sweet and tart, savory and smoky, and absolutely amazing. Pro-tip: I know it’s hard to wait, but do! Let the ribs sit for 15 to 20 minutes before you devour. This will ensure maximum juiciness.
7. Traeger Smoked Baked Potato
Baked potatoes are such a simple dish. While very hearty, they’re bland on their own. If you cook them on the pellet grill, everything changes. Sure, they’re amazing with a dollop of sour cream, chives, and all that jazz. But they’ll also be delightful even without the toppings. The pellet grill gives the spuds such a wonderful smoky flavor! Best of all, the recipe is simple. There are no extra steps involved. The only difference is you’ll use the grill instead of the oven.
8. Smoked Brisket
Brisket is the ultimate comfort food. Just thinking about it already makes my heart leap. It’s one of the few dishes that can cheer me up even in my foulest moods. That said, I didn’t think brisket could get any better. Not until I tried this recipe, that is. Smoked brisket for the win!!! From the fork tenderness to the juiciness to the beefiness, this brisket gets a 12/10. Serve this with a side of smashed potatoes and that’s it, game over!
9. Teriyaki Smoked Steak Bites
Give me anything flavored with teriyaki and I’ll be happy. These steak bites, for example, won’t last 5 minutes with me. These bite-sized appetizers are the bomb! They’re marinated in sweet and smoky teriyaki for flavor. Cooked on the pellet grill, they’ll develop a crispy outer crust, while still being super tender and juicy inside.
10. Traeger Beer Can Chicken
Beer can chicken – what a creative method to prepare the beloved bird! Injecting a whole can of beer inside a chicken’s cavity isn’t only for presentation, but for texture, too. Meanwhile, the dry rub gives the bird an unforgettable flavor. The smoky accent from the grill is pretty awesome as well. Who would’ve thought that a can of beer can make chicken insanely moist? The skin gets super-crispy as it cooks, while the insides stay nice and tender. Click on a star to rate it!
